SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn.  February 25, 2008. – Gerber Coburn, a unit of Gerber Scientific Inc., announced the appointment of Alex Incera as General Manager, effective immediately. In this role, Incera will be responsible for the unit’s worldwide business operations. Incera joined the business unit as Project Manager in 1995 and was promoted to Director of Engineering in 1996. In 1999 he became Vice President of Engineering, leading the research and development efforts of such products as the Eclipse Surface Blocker and DTL Generator. He was appointed Executive Director of Marketing in 2006. Incera earned a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MA, a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University, NY, and a Bachelor’s degree in Math and Physics from Providence College, RI. “We are pleased to promote Alex to the position of General Manager. Alex has made significant contributions to Gerber Coburn’s new product development, marketing and strategic planning efforts.
